There is something about a 70’s car with flared guards big wheels and a warm V8. When putting this car together we wanted to bring back the style and performance of the cars that were seen in the 70’s and 80’s. In fact this Hornet has some heritage with Rambler Car Club Concourse Entrant Plaques from 1983, 1984 and 1985. The original rego was (vic) KZT980.
This Hornet is far from a show car but presents very well.
Being harsh we’d say the paint is 7 out of 10. Usable, all one colour, no rust but showing its age.
Yes it WAS on gas but not any longer. The filler in the quarter panel is horrible we know but without painting the quarter we are stuck with it.
The engine bay has been dressed nicely with Edelbrock go fast bits that shine like they should.
The list of new and or refurbished parts are as follows:
New 302 Windsor with $13,000 receipts
New Holey, starter, alternator, radiator, themo fans.
Rebuilt Trans and small stall convertor
Rebuilt Brake Booster
New Suspension and Brakes
New Wheels and Tyres
New Carpet and Hood lining
What you will get with this Hornet is a great ‘streeter’ that you can use now and then paint later down the track.
