Sold new in Newcastle by Young and Green General Motors dealers in late 1973, and has resided in Newcastle it’s entire life. 

Finished in Willow duco with Doeskin vinyl roof, and doeskin/chestnut royal cord trim. It’s host of factory appointments include the following:

253 L32 V8 motor.

Trimatic T/Bar automatic transmission.

Power steering.

Tri-cluster instrumentation.

Factory Air Chief radio.

Bumper overriders and mud flaps.

Sports road wheels. (Widely referred to as GTS wheels.)

The condition of this vehicle can justifiably be described as excellent for a nearly 50 year old car. The paint is mostly original, however as you would reasonably expect, some touchups have been done over the years. The interior is quite frankly amazing. Everything is original and absolutely spot on, no rips or tears, no wear on the carpet, dash pad is like new, even the top of the back seat is not sunburnt. Door trims, hood lining, sunvisors etc. are all in very good order. And importantly, the car has never been smoked in. The ashtrays and cigarette lighter are just like new.

Mechanically the car is spot on. The engine has been modified to run on unleaded, and has just had a full service together with the transmission, and a new starter motor and fully reconditioned carburettor have been fitted. The wheels have been fully refurbished and new tyres fitted. The original starter motor will be supplied and could easily be reconditioned.

This car has no rust, and there is nothing to hide. An on hoist inspection is offered and encouraged. Treated with rust protection from new has inevitably provided that extra layer of protection, as well as having always been garaged. As previously stated, this car is 49 years old, its not new, but it’s certainly up there with the best of of the unrestored HQ Holdens. 

A road test will confirm this to be a really good and honest car which you would be comfortable to drive anywhere.
